Instagram sends no notification when another person follows someone. If you want to know about new follows without checking manually, you need a watchlist.
How the watchlist works
Add up to five public profiles to your FollowScope watchlist. We load each complete following list twice a day and compare it with the last one. Every new follow appears with the time we detected it, and you get an email about it.
