Your Instagram account stays out of it

You never log in with Instagram here and you are never asked for your Instagram password. A search only needs the username of the account you want to look up. Because your own account is not involved, it cannot be restricted or flagged for using this site.

As a general rule: do not give your Instagram password to any third-party website or app. Tools that require it put your account at risk.

What the other person notices

Nothing. A search does not visit the profile from your account, does not view stories and does not send a follow request. The account you look up receives no notification.

What we store

We keep as little as the service needs.

• The result of a search is stored for a short time so that you can reload the page, and is then deleted automatically.
• A usage log records the searched username, the mode, the time and the outcome for up to 90 days. It contains no IP address and no account of the person searching.
• If you create a login for Premium, we store your email address. Payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see your card details.

Where the limits are

The information shown is public, but how you use it still matters. Do not use results to harass, pressure or monitor another person. Automated access, scraping and reselling of results are not permitted. We may block accounts that abuse the service.

Questions or problems

If a result looks wrong, a payment did not go through or you want an account excluded, write to hello@simongrimm.at. A real person reads these messages.
